Eighteen students and faculty said their goodbyes today before departing to the Titagya School in Northern Ghana for spring break as part of Bryn Mawr's 360º: Learning and Narrating Childhood. Accompanying the sixteen students were faculty members Pim Higginson, associate professor and chair of French and francophone studies, and Alice Lesnick, director and senior lecturer in the Bryn Mawr/Haverford education program. For the past four years, the College has partnered with the Titagya School but this is the first year students from both schools will have a chance to meet.  The group is set to return March 12, but all are encouraged to follow them on Twitter at #BMCed250 and visit their blog at: http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/exchange/courses/ed250/s12 See photos of the warm send off the students received from friends and well-wishers in the slideshow above or on Flickr.
